Mel Aviation Components Limited today announces a transition in its Chief Financial Officer role.
Andrew Humphreys has taken the decision to retire as Chief Financial Officer and will step down from the business on 31 July 2026. Andrew played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Mel Aviation Components and has led the Finance function with distinction over the past year. His contribution has helped strengthen the business during an important period in its development.
The company is pleased to announce that Dan Scesney will join Mel Aviation Components as Chief Financial Officer on 1 September 2026.
Dan brings more than 25 years of international finance leadership across the UK, US, Italy and Switzerland, spanning both Private Equity-backed and family-owned businesses. He joins from Amazon Filters Limited, where, as Group Finance Director, he modernised the finance function and successfully led the business through a private equity exit. Prior to this he served as CFO of Micro-Macinazione S.A. in Switzerland, where he again played a key role in delivering a highly successful business exit.
Wayne Hollinshead, Chairman of Mel Aviation Components, said:
“On behalf of the whole company, I would like to thank Andrew for his outstanding contribution and wish him a very happy and well-deserved retirement.
I am also delighted to welcome Dan to Mel Aviation Components. His track record in building strong finance functions and driving value creation makes him an excellent fit to build on Andrew’s foundations, and I look forward to working with him.”
Mel Aviation Components would like to thank Andrew for his commitment and contribution to the business and wishes him every success in his retirement.
The company looks forward to welcoming Dan to the team in September.
